<note>This study is entitled: A Morpho-Syntactic Study On Clitics In Loleh Dialect Of Rote Language Spoken By The Community In Batubao Village Of West Kupang District. It aims at answering two questions: (1). What are the types of clitics in Loleh dialect of Rote language? (2). What are the forms of clitics in Loleh dialect in Rote language? (3). What are the functions of the clitics in Loleh dialect of Rote language? The objectives of this study are to identify clitics that is used in Loleh dialect of Rote language, to show and explain the forms of clitics in Loleh dialect in Rote language and to explain the functions of the clitics in Loleh dialect in Rote language. The result of this study are (1) the types of clitics in Loleh dialect of Rote language spoken by the community in Batubao village are proclitics and enclitics because clitics in this language usually are attached to the front and the end of a host. (2). The forms of proclitics in this language are ɵ-, m-, n-, t- and l- with ɵ- refers to first singular person, m- refers to second singular, second plural and also first exclusive plural, n- refers to third singular, t- refers to first  inclusive plural and l-  refers to third plural. There is also allomorph consist of allomorph a-, ma-, na-, ta- and la- with allomorph a- refers to first singular person, allomorph ma refers to second singular, second plural and also first exclusive plural, allomorph na- refers to third singular, allomorph ta- refers to first  inclusive plural and allomorph la- refers to third plural and the forms of enclitics are –ng refers to first singular (au) –m refers to second singular, first exclusive plural and second plural (o, ai, ei) and –n refers to third singular, first inclusive plural and third plural (ndia/ana, ita, sila/ala) (3). The function of proclitics on this language are attached to the hosts and refers to the subject. It means that kind of subject determines form of proclitics used.and they are attached to the hosts start with vowel sound. for hosts start with consonant they use allomorph While for enclitics, its function is just to explain possessive.
