This research is about “An Analysis of Code Mixing used in “Believe” Novel by Laluna Kia, Published in 2018”. It aims to identify the forms, contextual meanings and the purpose of code mixing used in “Believe” novel. In conducting this research, the writer used descriptive qualitative method. The code mixing is identified and then analized. The result of the data analysis shows 48 code mixing in Believe Novel with forms of words, phrases, and hybrids insertion; each of which has its own meaning and purpose. The authors in Believe Novel use code mixing to express their expressions, self-emotion and situation. The authors also use code mixing to make character conversation in novel brief, clearly, colourful, interesting. It is expected that the result of this research will be useful for all readers. The research also hoped to be beneficial for the other researcher. for the young authors, it is expected that they create more useful novels. Keywords : believe novel, forms, meanings, purposes.
