This study is entitled “A Morpho-Syntactic Analysis on Clitics in Kedang Language”. It aims at answering two questions: (1) what are the types and forms of clitics in Kedang language?; and (2) what classes of word that are attached by clitics? The objectives of this study are to describe the types and forms of clitic in Kedang language and to describe classes of word that attached by clitic. The result of this study are (1) the types of clitics in Kedang language are proclitics; that is those clitics that attach to the beginning of a host; and enclitics; that is those that attach to the end of a host; and (2) the forms of proclitics in this language are ɵ-, m-, n-, t-, m-, m-, s-; where ɵ- (unmarked) refers to first singular person; m- refers to second singular person, second plural person and first plural person exclusive; and n- refers to third singular person, s- refers to the third plural person. While the forms of enclitics in this language are -u, -o, -ne, -te, -ke, -me, -ya; where -u refers to the first singular person: -o refers to the second singular person; -ne refers to third singular person, -te refers to first plural person inclusive; -ke refers to first plural person exclusive; –me refers second plural person; and -ya refers to third plural person. Proclitics in Kedang language attachs to the beginning of verbs, conjunctions, prepositions and modals. While enclitics in Kedang language attach to verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. The kind of proclitic in Kedang language is the proclitic pronoun, because the occurrence of this morpheme is coreferential with the subject of the sentence where they occur.
