<note>This study is entitled “THE USE OF SONGS IN TEACHING ENGLISH VOCABULARY TO THE TEENAGER IN NUNBAUN SABU VILLAGE”. The main objective of this research is to know if it is effective or not to use English songs to improve teenagers' vocabulary. The method used in this research was the descriptive-qualitative method. The subject of this research was teenagers aged 12-and to 14 years old in Nunbaun Sabu Village. In collecting the data, the writer used a pre-test, post-test, and interview. The test consisted of five questions. Based on the analysis concluded that it is effective to use English songs to improve teenagers'vocab in Nunbaun Sabu Village, as shown by the improvement of their mean score in the pre-test which was 50,8 and the mean score in the post-test was 795,5. Based on the result above writer suggests that English songs can be used by the teacher to improve a teenager's vocabulary in learning the English process.
