This thesis is entitled “A STUDY ON SIGNS FOUND IN SAINT SEIYA-LEGEND OF SANCTUARY FILM:SEMANTIC ANALYSIS”. The problems of the study are (1) what are the signs found in Saint Seiya-Legend of Sancturay film (2) what are the meaning of the signs that are found in the film. This study’s aims are (1) to find out the signs that are used in the film (2) to find out the meaning of the signs that are found in the film. The method that is used in this study is qualitative method and the theory is Ferdinand De Saussure semiotic theory. Overall the costume of the characters in this film show the Zodiac based on Japan culture. The signs that are found from the character’s costumes in this research are 9 signs that are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Aquarius.
