This thesis is entitled :An Analysis of Homographs in Dengka Dialect of Rote Language. It tries to answer these research questions: (1) what homograph words are there in Dengka dialect of Rote language; and (2) what are the meaning of the homograph words. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data are five local people as an informants who live in Holoama village, Lobalain regency in East Nusa Tenggara province. This study was carried out for two weeks. It started from 22th November to 10th December 2019. The techniques used to collect the data were interview and note taking. The techniques of data analysis used in this study include transcribing audio data, listing and sorting the writen data, identifying dan describing the collected data. The result of this study shows that there are 30 homograph words in Dengka dialect of Rote language. Each of those words brings two different meanings. The researcher also found many of the words that have literal meaning. The researcher did not find other meanings such as connotative and denotative with these words.
