The writer selected 4 informants from Langga Lero village, South West Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara. Related to virus disease, the writer did the research by mobile phone.The problem that was identified in this research is what types of compound words are there in Loura language, what part of speech are compound words in the Loura language composed of, and what meaning constructions compound words in the Loura language have. This research aims to identify the types of compound words in the Loura language, find out the part of speech are compound words in Loura language composed of and analyze the compound meanings constructed in Loura language. The method of this research isused descriptive and qualitative. This research uses Bauer’s theory of the types of compounds, Plag et al,’s theory. In this case ofcollecting data, the researcher used interview and recording techniques to collect the data. In interview techniques, firstly, the researcherprepared alist of some compound words in the Indonesia language and then the researcher asked the informants to translate these words into Loura language for example like this, the word hospital in Indonesian is rumah sakit, the researcher asked informants to translate the word hospital in Loura language. After that, the researcher identified and listed compound words, and then the researcher analyzed the data and categorized the compound word into various categories. Then, the process of analysis includes what the researcher has interviewed and recorded, and the last the researcher reported the finding. There is only one type of compound word in Loura language: namely headed compound consists of the compound noun, compound adjective, and compound verb Keywords: analysis, compound words, types, meaning, Loura language
