This thesis is about “ An Analysis of Speech Act in Keluba Kerorin Tradition in Adonara Speech Community ”. The aims of this study are (1) To describe the kinds of speech act used in Keluba Kerorin in Adonara Speech Comminity and (2) To describe the features of speech act used in Keluba Kerorin in Adonara Speech Community. The research design of this study was descriptive qualitative method. In this study, the writer selected three people as the informants who live in Tobi village. She use some techniques to collect the data, such as : non visual interview, recording, taking note, documentations and some procedures to analyze the data with some steps, they are editing or checking data, classification, verification, and analysis data. From the analysis data, the writer found three kinds of speech act used in Keluba Kerorin tradition namely locutionary act, illocutionary act, and perlocutionary act. There are four features of speech act used in Keluba Kerorin tradition namely speech situations, speech partners, context of speech, and speech event.
