<note>This thesis is entitled “Teachers’ Perceptions on Using Animation Video in Teaching Speaking Skills to The Eleventh Grade Students of Citra Bangsa Senior High School.” The research questions of this research are; 1). What are the teachers’ perceptions on using animation videos in teaching speaking skills to the eleventh-grade students of Citra Bangsa? 2). What are the teacher’s positive and negative perceptions of using animation videos in teach speaking skills to the eleventh-grade students of Citra Bangsa? This research aims to determine teachers' perceptions of using animation video movies in teaching speaking skills and to determine teachers’ positive and negative perceptions of using animation videos in teaching speaking skills to the eleventh-grade students of Citra Bangsa senior high school. The type of this research is the descriptive qualitative method. The techniques for collecting data are using interviews and documentation. The data analyzed use descriptive qualitative techniques through the three data are data reduction, data display, and data drawing conclusion. The research results show that there are; teachers’ perceptions on the use of animation video movies as a media, animation video movies as a method, and the effect of using animation video movies for teaching English to improve speaking skills. The positive and negative teachers’ perceptions are the positive’ perception on using animation video for teaching speaking skill is teachers more helpful using animation video for teaching-learning process especially in during covid-19 pandemic, animation video so effective for support teaching-learning process and it makes easier to deliver materials for students, the students being more active, creative, communicative and it can improve students speaking skill, pronunciation, and vocabulary. The negative’ perceptions of two teachers who use animation video movies for teaching speaking skills are students memorize words of the story in the video their watch and students only focus on the video but overlook the materials.
