This research problem is what language choice was available in Bima mixed marriage family and the factors were the bases of the language choice. This research used descriptive qualitative method. This research aimed to describe and explain problem through words contextually. The data were gathered with 18 list of questions asked to 17 family. The data resources was 52 population mixed marriage and 4 family as the sample. The data collection technique were structured interview and recording. The data analysis techniques were identification, description, labeling, classification, and explanation. The result shows that the language choice with spouses was 2 spouses use Bimanese, and 2 spouses use Endenese. The language choice with children was 4 children use Ende language, 3 children use Bahasa Indonesia, and 2 children use Bima language. The language with neighbor was family 1 and 4 use Endenese, family 3 use Bahasa Indonesia, family 2 use Ende language and Bahasa Indonesia. The result of this data analysis shown that the dominant of language choice by Bima mixed marriage families was Ende language and mixed those three of Bimanese, and Bahasa Indonesia. Factor that influence the language choice. The data shown those factors are interlocutor and situation/setting. Interlocutor depends on to whom someone speaks. Situation/ setting means that in formal situation they use Bahasa Indonesia while informal situation they use Ende language. Keywords: Language Choice, Mixed Marriage, Daily Conversation.
