Figurative language is a kind of language that uses figures of speech as a way of saying something other than the literal meaning of the words. The problems of this research are (1) to find out types of figurative language used in Adang Language, (2) to find out the meaning of proverbs in Adang Language, (3) to find out the values of proverbs in Adang Language. The aims of this study are: (1) to desribe types of figurative language in Adang Language, (2) to describe the meaning of proverbs in Adang Language, (3) to describe the values of proverbs in Adang Language. This research design of this study was descriptive qualitative method, in this study the writer selected four people as the informants who live in Aimoli village. She used some techniques to collect the data, they are observation, interview, elicitation, audio record and documentation. The data were analyzed according to Keraf’s categorization of figurative language. The writer found three types of figurative language, they are methapor (18 proverbs), sarcasm (2 proverbs) and, personification (1 proverb) with the meanings and values. This study is expected to give some useful insights in understanding the meaning, figurative language and values are expressed in proverbs of Adang Language.
