<note>This thesis is entitled “A Morphological Analysis of Slang Used By The Fourth-Semester Students of English Department of Nusa Cendana University In The Academic Year of 2021/2022”. This study analysed slangs in terms of their formation process, and meaning. This study was conducted to answer the research questions: (1) What are the slang words used by the fourth-semester students of the English Department of Nusa Cendana University in the academic year of 2021/2022?, (2) How are the word-formation processes of slang words used by the fourth-semester students of the English Department of  Nusa Cendana University in the academic year of 2021/2022 formed?, (3) What are the meanings of the slang words used by the fourth-semester students of the English Department of Nusa Cendana University in the academic year of 2021/2022?. The aims of this study was to classify the slang words, to describe the processes of how word-formation on the slang words take place, and to know the meanings of slang words used by the fourth-semester students of English Department of Nusa Cendana University in the academic year of 2021/2022. The type of method used in this study was a qualitative method. The data were analyzed based on the nine types of word-formation by Yule (2010). The result of data analysis showed that (1) there were 63 slang words used by the forth-semester students of English Department of Nusa Cendana University in the academic year of 2021/2022. (2) there were eight types of word-formation procesess of slang words used by the participants. They were: Abbreviation, Blending, Borrowing, Coinage, Conversion, Compounding, Clipping, and Derivation (3) each of the slang words has its own meaning which can be understood constantly and may only be known by the members of the group.
