This thesis is entitled; Social Psychological Influence on the Attitude Change of Michael Glatze in the Movie “I am Michael” Directed by Justin Kelly. The problems of the study are: (1) What causes and symptoms of social psychological influence on the attitude change that occurred in Michael Glatze, (2) What is the impact of the attitude change that occurred on Michael Glatze. The purposes of this research are: (1) To analyze the causes and symptoms of social psychological influence on the attitude change that occurs in Michael Glatze, (2) To find out the impact of the attitude change that occurred on Michael Glatze. The writer used stimulus-response theory by Ivan Petrovich Pavlov with social psychology in doing the research. Qualitative research and descriptive method were used to expose and analyze data. The writer used documentation in collecting the data. In analyzing the data, the writer had found that: (1) Social psychological influence is the impetus that causes Michael Glatze to experience psychological problems and responses to the stimuli that occur to Michael, namely emotional reactions, feelings of gratitude, and several other steps of change to his decision to separate from his gay partner. (2) The impact of changes in attitude that occurred to Michael Glatze made him very different from his previous self because of the stimuli that pushed him to experience the fear of death and several other psychological problems. The positive response from the stimulation that occurred to him in this process of self-change is that he no longer identifies himself as gay, and several other steps of self-change made him a straight Christian priest.
