Teaching English Vocabulary Using Sesame Street Movie As An Audio Visual Medium To The Second Grade Students Of MTS Negeri Kota Kupang In The School Year Of 2021/2022
XMLThis research described whether the use of movie media can affect the progress of English vocabulary that has been taught in class, which researcher managed to get the result of research teaching English vocabulary by using movie that can improve student vocabulary mastery. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method in this study. The instruments used to collect the data were a test and observation. The subject of research were the second grade students of MTs Negeri Kota Kupang in the school year of 2021/2022 reflected through their scores of vocabulary test after being taught by using the sesame street movie. The result of the test in this research showed that there was a development on the student English vocabulary. It can be seen from the score that two students got the best score of 100, 9 students got a score of 90-95, 16 students got a score of 80-85, 4 students got a score of 70-75 and 1 student got score of 65. From the result of the test it showed that there was improvement and positive responses in the teaching English vocabulary using movie as an audio visual medium.
