Affixation In Bajo Language

The problems of this study are: (1) What is affixation in Bajo language, (2) What are the types of affixation in Bajo language, (3) What is the meaning of Affixation in Bajo language. This study aims: (1) To know what is affixation in Bajo language, (2) To know the types of affixation in Bajo language, (3) To know the meaning of affixation in Bajo language. In this research, the writer used descriptive qualitative method with data collection methods used are elicitation, interview and documentary study where the writer tries to find out the types of affixation in Bajo language. The data resources were five native speakers from Bajo village in Lewoleba and taken from documents related to Bajo language. In analyzing the data, the writer found two types of affixation in Bajo language, namely derivational and inflectional affixation. There are two types of derivational affixes that found in Bajo language namely, de-verbal noun and de-adjectival noun and there are six inflectional affixes that found in Bajo language, they are prefixes da-, ma-, ta-, suffix –ang and circumfixes di-, -ang and ma-, -ang.
