An Analysis Of Teachers' Strategies In Teaching English Vocabulary To Grade 7 Students OF SMP N Satap Lederaga, Sabu-Raijua Regency

The purpose of this study was to know teachers’ strategies in teaching English vocabulary nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. This research is qualitative. The subjects of this study were two English teachers who teach seventh graders of SMPN Satap Lederaga in Sabu-Raijua, 22 October 2022 until 29 October 2022 . The instruments used to collect the data were observation, interview and documentation. Researchers used descriptive analysis techniques. The steps to analyze the data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study show that the teachers’ in the school applied five strategies in teaching nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. The strategies are using pictures, using a dictionaries, asking-questions, memorizing, and taking notes.
