An Analysis Of The Accuracy Level Of Google Translation In English-Bahasa Indonesia And Bahasa Indonesia-English Translation Of Narrative Texts

This study is entitled “An Analysis of the Accuracy Level of English - Indonesian and Indonesian - English Translation of Narrative Texts Using Google Translate”. This study was conducted to answer the research questions: (1) To what degree is the accuracy level of Google Translate in English - Indonesian Translation, (2) to what degree is the accuracy level of Google translate in Indonesian - English translation. The writer took 10 narrative texts that separated into 5 texts in Indonesian and the other 5 in English to be the research subject to find out the accuracy level of Google Translate in English - Indonesian and Indonesian – English Translation. The aims of this study are to find out the accuracy level of Google Translate in English - Indonesian translation using narrative texts, to find out the accuracy level of Google Translate in Indonesian - English translation using narrative texts. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative research. The data of this study were primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from an analysis of each sentence contained in the data card. The secondary data were obtained from the data sheet that shows the accuracy level of Google Translate in English - Indonesian and Indonesian - English translation using narrative texts. From the data obtained, the writer analyzed and found out that the accuracy level of English - Indonesian and Indonesian – English translation using narrative texts are stated to be accurate.
