Gambaran Hematologi Mencit (Mus musculus) yang Diberi Tepung Ikan Berbasis Nanopartikel
XMLThe main cause of nutrition problems in Indonesia is the lack of nutrients such as protein, calcium and vitamins from animal foods. One of the important sources of animal food is food from the sea such as fish. Fish is classified as a seafood product that is very easy to damage and rot quickly. One way to preserve it is to process it into flour. The process of making flour by utilizing nano technology has the potential to improve the quality of functional food and maximize the absorption of nutrients. Nutrients from foodstuffs that enter the body need to be considered the amount of intake because the nutritional content of food that is excessive or does not meet normal standards in the blood can affect the blood profile, so that hematological values become a benchmark for whether the nutrients obtained are sufficient, exceed normal limits or are less than normal. Observations related to the hematological picture can be made using animal models such as mice. Mice are used as animal models because they have a similar physiological system to humans. This study aims to determine and compare the hematological picture of mice given nanoparticle-based fishmeal. The research method used was experimental, with a quantitative approach. The study used 12 male mice, divided into three groups, each group consisting of four mice as replicates. The maintenance time was 42 days. The results showed that all parameters (erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit, platelets, leukocytes) after being given nanoparticle-based fishmeal, the blood parameter values were within the normal range. Statistical tests showed p>0.05, which means that the administration of nanoparticle-based fishmeal is not significantly different from all blood parameters of each treatment group.
