Improving Vocabulary Of Eleventh-Grade Students Of SMA Negeri 4 Kupang In The Academic Year 2022/2023 By Using Noughts And Crosses Game

This Thesis is entitled. “Improving Vocabulaty of Eleventh-Grade Students of SMA NEGERI 4 KUPANG in The Academic Year 2022/2023 by Using Noughts and Crosses Game”. The main objectives of the research are to find out whether noughts and crosses game can improve students of vocabulary, to describe the process of teaching learning process by using noughts and crosses game, and to describe the students’ response of teaching vocabulary by using noughts and crosses game in the eleventh grade students of SMA NEGERI 4 KUPANG in the academic year 2021/2022.
The design of the research is vocabulary students which consists of four steps, namely: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. This research was conducted in two cycles. The subject is the eleventh grade students of the SMA NEGERI 4 KUPANG. which has 36 students. The writer used three instruments to collect the data. They were observation sheet, achievement test, and questionnaire.
Based on the analysis the researcher concluded that it is improving students to use Noughts and Crosses game in teaching vocabulary to the eleventh grade students of senior high school as shown by the improvement of their mean score in pretest that was 53.88 and the mean score in posttest was 73.88. Based on the result above the researcher suggests that puzzle game can be used by the teacher to attract students participation in learning process.
