This research is entitled:An Analysis of Figurative Language In The Song “It Will Rain” By Bruno Mars.The problems of this research are: first,What types of figurative language are used in Bruno Mars song “it will rain” and the second is What is the most dominant figurative language in Bruno Mars song “it will rain”. The aims of this research are:First, to find out the types of figurative language are used in Bruno Mars song “it will rain”the second is to find out find out the most dominant figurative language in Bruno Mars’ song “it will rain”. In this research, the writer used qualitative analysis to analyse figurative language that found inBruno Mars lyrics in the song “It Will Rain”. The data resource of this research was Bruno Mars’song lyrics in the song “It Will Rain”. The data were collected byBrowsing Bruno Mars’ song, and then the writer choose 1 of the best Bruno Mars’ song. The writer read deeply to get the perfect understanding about the song lyrics. In analysing data, the writer will use the theory of qualitative research by Creswell & Creswell, (2018) which go through some steps: Organized and prepared the data, read or looked at all data, started coding all of the data.In analysing the data, the writer found 3figurative language in total. The figurative language were; Metaphor (1), simile (1) and hyperbole (5) with their own meaning
