Using English Podcasts In Practicing Listening Skills Implemented By Students’ Of The 2022/2023 Academic Year In The English Department Of Nusa Cendana University

This study aims to analyze how using English podcasts in practicing listening skills in students' 2022/2023 academic year in the English Department of Nusa Cendana University, to find out the types of English podcasts that the students prefer, and to identify what are the problems faced by the students in the implementation of podcasts toward students’ listening skills. The research method used in this research was qualitative research method. The subjects of this research were 15 students from the third semester of the English study program at Nusa Cendana University. Techniques that were used to collect the data were questionnaires and interviews. From the data obtained, the writer analyzed the data and found that the use of English podcasts can be used as a learning media in case practicing students listening skills, beside, the writer concluded that the result about the types of English podcasts that students more preferred to interview podcasts and there are three problems faced by students such as length and speed of listening, accent, and unfamiliar vocabulary.
