A Semantic Study On Songs Lyrics By Eminem

The problem of this research are: (1) what are the types of lexical meaning of the lyrics of five selected songs by Eminem (2) what messages are found in five selected songs by Eminem. This study aims (1) to identified and describe the types of lexical meanings of the lyrics of five selected songs by Eminem, (2) to describe messages of five selected songs by Eminem. The type of method used descriptive qualitative method. The data resource of this study were five selected songs by Eminem. The data were analyzed by using describing technique. The result shows that the five selected songs by Eminem have lexical meanings such as (a) antonymy, (b) synonymy, (c) hyponymy, (d) polysemy, (e) connotation and denotation, The messages which are found in five selected songs by Eminem such as (a) religious message, (b) moral message, (c) social message.
