ABSTRACT
The title of this research is "Analysis of the Function of KSP Kopdit Pintu Air Rotat Indonesia Melus Timor Branch in its Services to Members in West Hauteas Village, North Biboki District, North Central Timor Regency" written by Nemosia Bukifan with NIM 1903030018 in 2024. Background The problem in this research is that the community lacks capital to finance children's education, lacks in meeting the family's secondary needs, lacks capital to open or develop a business and lack of community income which is only dominated by wetland farming (rice). The formulation of the problem in this research is how the function of KSP Kopdit Pintu Air Melus Timor Branch provides effective solutions to overcome the economic problems of members in West Hauteas Village. The aim of this research is to analyze the function of KSP Kopdit Pintu Air in its services to members in West Hauteas Village. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive research type with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The technique used in determining informants was purposive sampling, so there were 10 informants in this study consisting of 8 members of KSP Kopdit Pintu Air and 2 administrators of KSP Kopdit Pintu Air Melus Timor Branch. The theory used in this research is Cherter Barnard's Organizational Theory, which states that organizations are social systems consisting of individuals and groups who interact with each other to achieve common goals. Based on the research results, it shows that there are five types of functions of KSP Kopdit Pintu Air Melus Timor branch in its services to its members, namely providing savings services, providing loan services, as a donor for productive businesses, providing condolence funds and health funds, and as a provider of education loans. Based on the research results, it is concluded that economic problems such as children's education costs, basic and secondary needs are the main factors that encourage individuals to join KSP Kopdit Pintu Air. Apart from economic problems, there are also functions of KSP Kopdit Pintu Air which attract people's interest in becoming members.
From the research results and conclusions, suggestions can be made for members of the KSP Kopdit Pintu Air in West Hauteas Village to be diligent in saving and increasing their income from opening a business or looking for other additional income so that members no longer increase debt elsewhere. Apart from that, further research is needed to examine the factors that cause people's lack of income and people's lack of interest in saving.
