Using Total Physical Response (TPR) In Storytelling For English Vocabulary Class Applied To The Fifthgrade Students Of SD Negeri Naikoten 2

This study aims to describe how the Total Physical Response (TPR) method is applied in storytelling for English vocabulary class and to reveal teacher’s and students’ perceptions of the use of the TPR method. This research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2023-2024 among the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Naikoten 2, with a total of 20 students. The method used in this research was a descriptive-qualitative method. The data collection were in the form of words and were taken from two sources, namely: observation and a questionnaire. The results showed that the teacher understands and applies this method well. In addition, the teacher’s perception of the method is also significant c. However, the students’ perceptions showed that they enjoyed, were happy, and were motivated during the lesson.
