This research used the qualitative research method to analyze the data and data were collected through observations, interviews, and video recordings of traditional clothing symbols that are always used by the Wanokaka community in every cultural and national event. The result of this research showed that there are five primary symbols in Wanokaka traditional clothing: First is Hamuli; this symbol is meant to celebrate women and is based on jewelry that Sumba women frequently wear. Second is Jara, representing virility, greatness, courage, agility, pride, and social prestige. Third is the symbol of a Manu Wolu with a cockscomb, which represents awareness because roosters always crow in the morning to wake people up. Fourt, Umma Biha is thought to be the home of ancestral spirits in addition to being a place for humans and pets to reside. Fifth, the Kaddu Watu symbol serves as both a noble emblem for the owner and proof of the persistence of megalithic culture in Sumba. For the owner, this Kaddu Watu emblem represents honor and high social standing. This Wanokaka traditional clothing is beneficial for cultural and economic roles.
