Using Audio Visual Media In Teaching And Learning English To Improvevocabulary Of The Seventh Grade Student Of SMP Negeri 2 East Rote

This study aims to describe the improvement of students' mastery using audio-visual media. This study is a classroom action research conducted in one cycle, consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. With 21 students, the results of the study showed that in the post-test, only 7 students (33%) achieved the KKM score of 75, while 14 students (67%) did not achieve the score, with 10 students (48%) scoring below and 4 students obtaining an average score near the KKM. However, in the pre-test, all 21 students (100%) achieved a score of 75 or above. The description of learning outcomes using audio-visual media shows that 100% of students are in the completed category. However, there seems to be a discrepancy in the data provided. Nevertheless, the results illustrate that learning with audio-visual media has been going well and can increase vocabulary. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers prioritize the use of audio-visual media in learning subjects.
