Pengaruh Penggunaan Silase Ikan dalam Ransum terhadap Profil Sel Darah Merah pada Ayam Kampung Super

The present study investigated the effects of dietary inclusion of fish silage on the hematological profile of super native chickens (Gallus gallus domesticus). A total of 100 eight-week-old birds were randomly allocated to five experimental groups. The control group (P0) received a commercial BR2 feed, while the treatment groups (P1, P2, P3, and P4) were fed diets composed of corn, wheat bran, and fish silage at varying inclusion levels. Fish silage for groups P1 to P3 was produced using lactic acid bacteria at different concentrations, whereas group P4 received silage formulated with formic acid. The experiment was conducted over a 47-day period following a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. On day 47, blood samples were collected from the brachial vein for the determination of red blood cell count, hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit value, and erythrocyte indices, including mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC). The data were analyzed descriptively and compared against established physiological reference values. The findings indicated that fish silage supplementation enhanced all evaluated hematological parameters, with the P3 group (20% fish silage inclusion) exhibiting the most favorable outcomes. These results suggest that dietary incorporation of fish silage, particularly at a 20% inclusion level, can serve as an effective alternative protein source to improve blood health and support the physiological performance of super native chickens.
