Prevalensi dan Derajat Infeksi Parasit Anisakis sp. pada Ikan Kembung (Rastrelliger sp.) di Kecamatan Sulamu

Mackerel is one of the small pelagic fish that can be infected by Anisakisparasites. Anisakis sp. parasites are endoparasites that can cause zoonotic diseases, namely anisakiasis in humans. This study aims to determine the prevalence, degree of infection, and predilection of the Anisakis sp. parasite in mackerel (Rastrelliger sp.) in Sulamu District. Sampling was conducted using the quota sampling method with a sample size of 100 mackerel. The samples were then dissected to examine the presence of Anisakis sp. larvae in the fish's internal organs. The parasites found were cleaned of any remaining debris, then fixed with 70% alcohol in collection bottles and stained with semichen acetic carmine solution. They were then dehydrated in stages using 70%, 85%, and 95% alcohol. Finally, identification was performed under a microscope. The results of the study showed that the parasites infecting mackerel were Anisakis sp. type I and Anisakis sp. type II, characterized by the presence of Anisakis larvae with boring tooth, ventriculus, and mucron, as well as Anisakis larvae with boring tooth and ventriculus but without mucron. The prevalence of Anisakis sp. in mackerel was 22%. The degree of Anisakis sp.infection in mackerel was 1.9. The preferred sites of Anisakis sp. in mackerel were the intestines, stomach, liver, gonads, fish eggs, and abdominal cavity.
