The Use of Word Wall to Improve Students’ Vocabulary Mastery at the Seventh Grade Students of SMP Negeri Satu Atap Oeusapi This study examines the effectiveness of using Word Wall in teaching vocabulary to seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri Satu Atap Oeusapi. The study aims to answer two research questions: (1) Is Word Wall effective in teaching vocabulary to seventh-grade students? And (2) How is Word Wall used to improve vocabulary acquisition? A pre-test and post-test design was employed to measure the improvement of students’ vocabulary mastery. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ vocabulary mastery, with a mean score increase from 39.20 in the pre-test to 76.38 in the post-test. The study found that the implementation of Word Wall strategy was effective in enhancing students’ vocabulary mastery. The results of the study suggest that the use of Word Wall game can significantly improve students’ vocabulary mastery. Therefore, the study recommends the use of Word Wall as an effective teaching strategy to improve students’ vocabulary mastery. The study used a quantitative approach, with a sample of 30 seventh-grade students. The data was collected through pre-test and post-test, and was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that the students’ vocabulary mastery improved significantly after using the Word Wall game. The study contributes to the existing literature on vocabulary instruction, and provides implications for teachers and educators. The findings suggest that the use of Word Wall game can be an effective way to improve students’ vocabulary mastery, and can be used as a supplement to traditional teaching methods.
