The use of antibiotics in the livestock sector is increasing this is done so that livestock can be disease free and production remains stable. In addition, the use of these antibiotics can become a global health problem because their development can cause bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics. The purpose of this literature study was to determine the level of resistance of Escherichia coli to antibiotics in pigs in Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach. Based on the research results, The percentage of the prevalence rate of Escherichia coli in samples of pigs in Indonesia ranges from 2.08% -100% with an average prevalence of 45.25%. The highest level of antibiotic resistance was found in the aminoglycoside group of antibiotics (Streptomicyn (32,90%-100%), Gentamicyn (0%-100%) dan Kanamicyn (60%), Macrolides (Erythromycin (88,60%-100%), β-lactams (Ampicillin (100%, Amoxicillin (90%), Penicillin G (100%). Low levels of antibiotic resistance are found in the Quinolones group of antibiotic (Nalidic Acid (2,50%-23,50%) and Tetracycline (Doxycycline (12,20%).
