This research was conducted at the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Fkip, University of Nusa Cendana Kupang with a total population of 338 consisting of semester III, V, VI. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling. The data collection technique used a psychological scale of academic stress and a psychological scale of learning motivation. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and correlation analysis with the help of SPSS 16. Academic stress is seen from physical symptoms, cognitive symptoms, emotional symptoms, and interpersonal symptoms, while for learning motivation the aspects are intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. In this study, the highest academic stress was in the moderate category with a percentage of 56% and the highest learning motivation was in the low category with a percentage of 52%. Based on the results of the Pearson product moment correlation , there was a significant negative relationship between academic stress and learning motivation in Guidance and Counseling students, Fkip, Nusa Cendana University with a correlation value of -0.434, and for p = 0.003 (p <0.005) which means academic stress inversely proportional to the learning motivation of Guidance and Counseling students, Fkip, Undana. As for the impact of this research, it is expected that guidance and counseling students always maintain their motivation to learn so they don't experience academic stress. Stable learning motivation during lectures makes students avoid the pressure of lectures so that academic stress is not experienced by students. When students have good learning motivation, when learning takes place students will feel happy and comfortable while learning.
