A Morphological Study of the Reduplication in Kupang Malay

The title of this thesis is a morphological study of reduplication in Kupang Malay. The research problems are:(1)what are the types of reduplications in Kupang Malay variety?;(2)what are the functions of reduplicated forms in Kupang Malay?;(3)what are the meanings of Kupang Malay reduplicated form?.The study aims of this study are:(1)identifying the types of reduplication in Kupang Malay, (2)describing the functions and meaning of reduplication in Kupang Malay:(3) describing the meaning of reduplication in Kupang Malay. The method of this study is descriptive qualitative method and the data were taken on the bible stories especially in Acts.The result of research conveyed that reduplication can exist in the forms of verbs, noun, adjectives and adverbs in the full and partial reduplications. Plurality, intensification, continuous aspect and collectivity are the functions of reduplications in Kupang Malay.
