Determinan Penggunaan Alat Kontrasepsi dengan Metode Kontrasepsi Jangka Panjang (MKJP) di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Batakte Kabupaten Kupang

The success of family planning services can be achieved through support from community members by actively participating as family planning participants or family planning acceptors. The status of family planning participants in the working area of the Batakte Health Center is still dominated by the use of non-MKJP methods including (injections and pills). Long-Term Contraceptive Method (MJKP) is a contraceptive tool that is used to delay, space out pregnancy and even control fertility by reducing fertility which is used in the long term. In addition, MKJP is more rational and has fewer side effects. This study aims to determine the determinants of the use of contraceptives with long-term contraceptive methods. This type of research is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional study design. The population is 306 active acceptors in the villages of Lifuleo, Oenesu and Tesabela. These three villages were designated as research locations because they had the lowest MKJP coverage, based on a preliminary survey. The subjects in this study were 100 respondents who were active family planning acceptors. The results of the analysis using linear regression techniques show 5 variables related to the use of MKJP. The five variables were education level (p=0.012), knowledge level (p=0.000), husband's support (p=0.000), attitude (p=0.005), and individual values/beliefs (p=0.038). Multivariate analysis using Chi Square and multiple linear regression showed that the variable level of knowledge (p = 0.000) and husband's support (p = 0.000) were simultaneously associated with the use of MKJP. Good knowledge about MKJP will make acceptors tend to use MKJP as well as good support from partners will increase acceptors' interest in using MKJP, therefore quality IEC service efforts must continue to be carried out, especially KIE regarding MKJP.
