This thesis analyzedhow a six-year-old child being the subject of this research acquires vocabulary using fableand identifies the most often uttered part of speech. In this research, the writer useddescriptive qualitative research that produced descriptive data, factual, detailed, andaccurate data about the process of English vocabulary acquisition process. The methodused in this research were documentation and interview method. The data used in thisresearch was a six-year-old child’s English vocabulary by using fables that have beendocumented for one week. The result of this research showed that the child acquire Englishvocabulary using fables and applied them through interaction. It also showed that the partof speech in her vocabulary was dominated by verbs.
