An Analysis Of Indonesian English Borrowing And Loan Words In Timor Express Newspaper

This research is entitled: An Analysis of Indonesian English Borrowing and Loan Words in Timor Express Newspaper. The problems of this study are: first, what Indonesian English borrowing words that used in Timex newspaper. Second, what Indonesian English loan words in Timex that have undergone meaning change processed. This study aims: to comprehend what Indonesian English borrowing words that are used in Timex newspaper, and to comprehend what meaning change process that has undergone by Indonesian English loan words in Timex newspaper. In this research, the writer used content analysis which focus to analyze all the Indonesian English borrowing and loan words that collected from the 19th June 2021 edition of Timex. In analyzing the data, the researcher found 261 Indonesian borrowing words and 4 Indonesian loan words that used in Timex. The researcher further found two kinds of meaning change process that undergone by Indonesian English loan words in Timex. They are extension of meaning with 2 words and narrowing meaning with 2 words.
